What's the difference between the Bugaboo Donkey 6 Mono and Duo?
The Donkey 6 Mono is configured for one child, with the option to expand into a double stroller by purchasing the sibling seat separately. The Donkey 6 Duo bundle includes the sibling seat, so you have everything needed for side-by-side toddler seating or a newborn-and-toddler configuration.
Can I use the Bugaboo Donkey 6 Duo with a newborn and toddler?
Yes. The Donkey 6 Duo includes a bassinet for your newborn and a sibling seat for your older child. Both ride side by side, with plenty of room and comfort for each passenger.
Does the Bugaboo Donkey 6 Duo fit through standard doorways?
Yes. At 29.1 inches wide in double mode, the Donkey 6 fits through standard doorways despite its side-by-side seating. In single mode, it measures just 23.6 inches wide.
Can I use the Donkey 6 Duo as a single stroller?
Absolutely. The Donkey 6 frame contracts from 29.1 inches to 23.6 inches wide, allowing you to use it as a single stroller whenever you're heading out with just one child. The side luggage basket provides additional storage in this configuration.
Does the Donkey 6 Duo include two bassinets?
No. This bundle includes one bassinet and two toddler seat fabrics, making it ideal for siblings of different ages. Families expecting twins who need two bassinets should consider the Donkey 6 Twin configuration or purchase an additional compatible bassinet setup.
Can I use two infant car seats with the Bugaboo Donkey 6 Duo?
Yes. The Donkey 6 supports two compatible infant car seats simultaneously with the appropriate adapters, sold separately. Compatibility varies by car seat model, so check the specific adapter requirements before purchasing.
How does the Bugaboo Donkey 6 compare to tandem double strollers?
The Donkey 6 places both children side by side rather than positioning one seat behind or below the other. This gives each child an unobstructed view and allows parents to reach both passengers easily. Tandem doubles may be narrower, but the Donkey 6 offers equal seating positions and remains narrow enough for standard doorways.
Is the Bugaboo Donkey 6 Duo worth it for siblings?
For families who expect to use a double stroller regularly, the Donkey 6 Duo offers several advantages: full-size reversible seats for both children, excellent maneuverability, generous storage, and the ability to convert back to a single. The included sibling seat also means there's no need to purchase a separate conversion kit later.
Is the Bugaboo Donkey 6 Duo allowed at Disney World and Disneyland?
Yes! At 29.1 inches wide in double mode, the Bugaboo Donkey 6 Duo meets Disney's stroller width requirement of 31 inches. Disney World and Disneyland allow strollers up to 31 inches wide and 52 inches long. With comfortable seating for two, generous storage, and smooth maneuverability, the Donkey 6 is a great option for long days exploring the parks.
