Behind the Scenes at Bambi Baby: Meet the Team

Inside Bambi Baby

Where Experience Comes Together

Welcome! We’re glad you found us.

Maybe you met us in one of our stores. Maybe you’ve watched one of Enelio’s stroller or car seat reviews on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. Or maybe you found Bambi Baby while searching for the right stroller, comparing car seats, planning a nursery, or trying to figure out which baby gift will actually get used.

However you arrived, what you see today is the work of a close-knit team.

Bambi Baby may have started as one family and one store, but today it takes people working across our showrooms, buying, operations, technology, branding, content, design, merchandising, and customer care to keep it all moving.

Here’s who makes it happen.

The People Behind the Bambi Baby Difference

The products matter. The people make the difference.

Parents often find Bambi Baby during one of the most exciting—and, let’s be real, overwhelming—times in their lives. Suddenly you’re expected to have opinions about stroller suspension, car seat installation, crib construction, glider fabrics, infant inserts, and about a hundred other things you may never have thought about before.

That’s where experience helps.

Many of us are parents ourselves. We know what it feels like to research a product late at night, wonder whether that stroller will actually fit into the trunk, rethink a purchase once real life enters the equation, or simply want another parent to say, “Here’s what I would consider.”

Product knowledge and industry training matter here—a lot. But so do listening, asking the right questions, and understanding what happens after the stroller, car seat, crib, or high chair leaves the box and becomes part of everyday family life.

Expertise without making things more complicated than they need to be—that’s the Bambi Baby difference.

Bambi Baby storefront in West New York, New Jersey

Family-Owned Since 1976

50 Years, One Family Business

Bambi Baby began in 1976 as a small baby store in West New York, New Jersey.

Fifty years later, we’ve grown to six Bambi Baby stores across New York, New Jersey, and Florida, along with BambiBaby.com serving families nationwide.

A lot has changed along the way. The products have changed. The technology has changed. And the way parents research, shop, compare, and ask questions has changed dramatically.

What hasn’t changed is that Bambi Baby is still family-owned, still hands-on, and still particular about getting the details right.

That story starts with the Ortega family.

Meet the Ortega Family

Enelio, Owner | CEO | Certified CPST | Visionary | Dad at Bambi Baby

Enelio

Owner | CEO | Certified CPST | Visionary | Dad

Enelio is the heart—and very often the face—of Bambi Baby.

For decades, he has helped grow the family business without ever putting much distance between himself and the families walking through the door. You’re still just as likely to find him on a showroom floor demonstrating a stroller, comparing car seats with a parent, hosting an educational event, filming a product review, or answering a customer question himself.

As a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, Enelio has an especially strong passion for car seat safety and education. He stays hands-on with the products Bambi Baby carries and works closely with many of our brand partners, giving him the kind of baby-gear knowledge that comes from far more than reading a spec sheet.

That hands-on approach has shaped the rest of the Bambi Baby team, too.

Enelio’s philosophy has always been pretty simple: listen first. Understand the family, the car, the home, the lifestyle, and what they actually need—then help them find the product that makes sense.

For Enelio, being customer-first has never meant leading from behind a desk.

It means showing up.

Michelle, Accounting | Customer Advocate | Mom at Bambi Baby

Michelle

Accounting | Customer Advocate | Mom

Michelle has been part of the heart of Bambi Baby for nearly 35 years.

Accounting may be her professional background, but anyone who knows Bambi Baby knows Michelle’s role has never stayed neatly inside one department.

She is one of our strongest customer advocates and has a way of noticing the details that can turn simply resolving a problem into genuinely taking care of someone.

When a situation needs extra attention, Michelle makes sure the customer gets the follow-through, communication, and support they need. And after all these years, she still truly enjoys connecting with Bambi Baby families—especially the grandparents. Their calls are some of her favorites.

Michelle is Enelio’s wife and mom to their two daughters, so she has had a front-row seat to nearly every stage of Bambi Baby’s growth while helping preserve something that matters just as much today as it did decades ago: the personal attention of a family business.

Outside of Bambi Baby, Michelle is a devoted Pilates enthusiast and, according to the family, the person you want planning the party.

Brianna, Head of Branding & Partnerships | Marketing | NYC at Bambi Baby

Brianna

Head of Branding & Partnerships | Marketing | NYC

Bri grew up with Bambi Baby. Now she is helping shape what comes next.

As Enelio and Michelle’s daughter and Bambi Baby’s Head of Branding and Partnerships, Bri works closely with many of the brands families know from our stores and website—including Bugaboo, CYBEX, Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Silver Cross, UPPAbaby, Veer, and more.

She is also constantly watching for what’s next: new products, emerging brands, fresh ideas, and the things parents may be asking us about six months from now.

Bri is one of the central threads running through nearly every major Bambi Baby product launch. Long before a new stroller or car seat appears on BambiBaby.com, she is helping coordinate everything happening behind the scenes—working with brand partners, organizing timelines, making sure videos are filmed, creative and content are ready, and the website is prepared for launch day.

But some of her most useful research happens much closer to home.

Living in New York City means Bri can often be found in our NYC showroom talking directly with parents. Those conversations matter. Something she hears on the floor today may influence a product we carry, a question we answer online, or an educational article we create tomorrow.

For Bri, branding isn’t just about how Bambi Baby looks.

It’s about paying attention to what families are looking for next.

One Team, Many Places

Bambi Baby Is Bigger Than One Office

There isn’t one Bambi Baby office where everyone reports for work each morning.

Our team stretches across New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina, California, and Puerto Rico. Some of us work in our stores, some work remotely, and others split their time between different parts of the business.

What keeps that from feeling disconnected is communication—and a lot of it.

A single project may involve people working from several states, each bringing a different specialty to the same goal. Geography changes where the work happens, but not how closely we work together.

Different locations. Different specialties. One Bambi Baby team.

Keeping Bambi Baby Moving

Before a product is in stock, an order ships, or something works the way it should on the website, a lot has to happen correctly.

Buying, inventory, vendor communication, technology, logistics, and order processing all have to stay in sync—and when one piece doesn’t, somebody has to figure out why.

This is the team that keeps those moving parts moving.

Josh, COO | Tech Wizard | Dad | New Jersey at Bambi Baby

Josh

COO | Tech Wizard | Dad | New Jersey

If there is a process at Bambi Baby that could work smarter, there is a very good chance Josh is already thinking about how to rebuild it.

Josh joined Bambi Baby in 2003 as a teenager. Today, as COO, he works across technology and operations, designing systems and internal platforms from the ground up to connect information, simplify processes, and make everyone else’s job a little easier.

His unofficial Bambi Baby motto:

“What can I do to make your life easier? I mean it—I’ll make a tool for it.”

And then he actually does.

Josh is constantly looking at what happens behind the scenes and asking whether there is a better way to make the pieces communicate—whether that means the website, internal workflows, integrations, or one of the everyday operational problems the rest of us didn’t realize could be solved with a custom-built system.

He lives in Morris County, New Jersey with his wife, Ariel, and their daughter, Charlie.

When he isn’t building something for Bambi Baby, Josh enjoys tinkering with electronics, playing ice hockey, skiing and snowboarding, traveling, music, and craft beer.

Nicole, VP of Operations | Buying & Vendor Relations | Mom | New Jersey at Bambi Baby

Nicole

VP of Operations | Buying & Vendor Relations | Mom | New Jersey

Nicole has been part of Bambi Baby since 2006, but her career in the baby industry started long before that.

She began working in the industry at just 15 years old and has now spent more than 27 years learning the business from nearly every angle. Nicole started in sales and customer service before moving into operations, where today a major part of her role centers around buying and vendor communication.

In other words, she is one of the people behind the scenes making sure the products families are looking for actually make their way into Bambi Baby’s assortment, into our warehouse, and ultimately into your home.

And really, who better to help buy products for Bambi Baby than a mom?

Nicole genuinely loves the buying side of the business—the relationships, discovering products, planning inventory, working with vendors, and trying to anticipate what families will be looking for next.

But being a mom gives those buying decisions another layer. A spreadsheet may say “inventory,” but Nicole knows there is usually a real parent on the other end waiting for a stroller, car seat, crib, or piece of baby gear they carefully chose for their family.

Outside of work, Nicole is a Pilates enthusiast and self-described foodie who loves summers at the Jersey Shore, mommy-daughter dates with Olive, and spending time with her boyfriend and their blended family.

Carolina, Operations Manager | Bilingual Customer Support | Puerto Rico at Bambi Baby

Carolina

Operations Manager | Bilingual Customer Support | Puerto Rico

Carolina is one of the people making sure the promises made at the front of Bambi Baby can actually happen behind it.

Based in Puerto Rico, she works across operations, logistics, order processing, and bilingual customer support, helping orders move through the system and catching the little details that can otherwise become big delays.

An Administrative Engineer by training, Carolina brings more than 15 years of experience at Bambi Baby and in the baby industry to her role.

Her job calls for precision, patience, organization, and the ability to solve problems quickly—often before a customer even knows there was a problem that needed solving.

She also supports Bambi Baby families by phone and email in both English and Spanish, giving customers another knowledgeable person they can reach when they need help.

When Carolina isn’t keeping orders and operations moving, she enjoys knitting and crocheting, reading, and spending time at the beach.

Online, But Never Automated

The People Behind BambiBaby.com

Not every Bambi Baby customer walks through one of our showroom doors. For many families, their first experience with us happens on a phone or laptop—often late at night, with twelve tabs open and one very specific baby-gear question.

That means BambiBaby.com has to do more than simply show products.

It needs to help a parent understand the difference between two strollers, figure out which car seat may work for their family, discover a nursery collection they love, learn about a brand they haven’t considered, or get a straightforward answer without having to dig for it.

A website can make a company feel automated.

Ours is anything but.

Buying guides, product comparisons, collection pages, graphics, emails, launches, and educational content all have someone researching, writing, designing, organizing, or merchandising them with one goal in mind: making BambiBaby.com easier for a parent to actually use.

Ariel, Finance | Merchandising | Mom | New Jersey at Bambi Baby

Ariel

Finance | Merchandising | Mom | New Jersey

Ariel works right where numbers, products, and the online shopping experience meet.

Her role spans finance and website merchandising, helping keep BambiBaby.com organized, easy to shop, visually thoughtful, and full of products families will actually be excited to discover.

She has an eye for interesting new products and is always thinking about how something should appear online—not just whether it belongs on the website, but how a parent will find it, understand it, and compare it.

Although Ariel’s official baby-industry career is newer, Bambi Baby has been part of her life for more than a decade. That means she brings something useful to the job: the eye of someone who has been a customer, is now part of the business, and is also a parent herself.

Ariel is married to Josh and is mom to their daughter, Charlie, along with being a very devoted dog mom to Bromley.

Outside of work, she loves traveling, skiing, creating with Cricut and Canva, being an aunt, and pretty much anything involving animals—especially dogs.

Stephanie, Content Writer | Website Design & Merchandising | Mom | Connecticut at Bambi Baby

Stephanie

Content Writer | Website Design & Merchandising | Mom | Connecticut

Stephanie works across several of the places where Bambi Baby’s product expertise takes shape online.

As a content writer, she creates buying guides, product reviews, comparisons, and parenting resources to make complicated baby-gear decisions easier to understand. Her work is grounded in the way parents actually research major purchases—what they want to know first and what details matter in real life.

Her role also extends into website design and merchandising, helping shape how information and products are presented across BambiBaby.com so families can move through the site with confidence and ease.

With more than 20 years of customer-service management experience and over a decade in the baby-gear industry, Stephanie brings both deep customer perspective and product knowledge to the work she creates today.

She is a mom of two teenage daughters and spends her weekends on basketball and soccer sidelines. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, time with her rescue dog, and—true to her Connecticut roots—cheering loudly for the UConn Huskies.

Carissa, Graphic Designer | Mom | New Jersey at Bambi Baby

Carissa

Graphic Designer | Mom | New Jersey

If an email from Bambi Baby has caught your eye, there is a very good chance Carissa had something to do with it.

As Bambi Baby’s graphic designer, Carissa brings the visual side of the brand to life. Her work helps product launches, promotions, educational information, and everyday Bambi Baby communication actually feel like Bambi Baby when they reach your screen.

She is often one of the final people behind the scenes turning an idea, campaign, or product story into something customers can actually see.

Based in Bergen County, New Jersey, Carissa began her baby-industry career with Bambi Baby and has been part of the team for four years. She is also a proud boy-mom.

And the creativity definitely doesn’t stop when work ends.

Outside of Bambi Baby, Carissa enjoys cooking and baking, painting, sewing and upcycling clothing, traveling, going to concerts, and curling up with a good book.

Real People on the Other Side

The Moms Behind Bambi Baby Customer Service

When you call, email, chat, or message Bambi Baby, you’re reaching someone who knows baby gear—and who understands that sometimes a “quick question” isn’t all that quick.

Our customer-service team does far more than look up order numbers. They compare products, track down hard-to-find answers, troubleshoot problems, coordinate with our stores and operations team, explain features, and continue helping after a purchase arrives.

Several of these moms also contribute to Bambi Baby educational content, which means the things they learn from helping parents every day can inform the guidance other families find on our site.

Meet the moms answering the phones, emails, chats, and messages.

Jessica, Head of Customer Service | Baby Gear Expert | Mom | New Jersey at Bambi Baby

Jessica

Head of Customer Service | Baby Gear Expert | Mom | New Jersey

Jessica is the person customers—and plenty of Bambi Baby team members—turn to when a question gets complicated.

As Head of Customer Service, she supports families through phone, email, and chat while also helping our store teams track down the information they need.

If an answer is hard to find, Jessica has a reputation for sticking with it until she finds one.

Before moving into her current role, she worked as part of our Paramus showroom team, so her experience helping families extends from face-to-face conversations on the sales floor to helping customers remotely from anywhere in the country.

Jessica has more than two decades of baby-industry experience, beginning in 2001, and has a particular love for nursery furniture. She enjoys helping families think beyond the individual crib or dresser and picture the room those pieces will eventually create.

Jessica is also a proud mom of three daughters.

Outside of work, she loves fall weather, apple and pumpkin picking, summer beach and pool days, and backyard BBQs with family and friends.

Kyleyn, Customer Service | Content Writer | Mom | California at Bambi Baby

Kyleyn

Customer Service | Content Writer | Mom | California

Kyleyn wears a lot of hats at Bambi Baby—which works out well for someone who genuinely loves baby gear.

Based in Southern California, she supports families through phone, email, webchat, social media, and customer service while also contributing to Bambi Baby’s educational content.

Kyleyn is a mom of three and has plenty of hands-on experience with her own collection of strollers, car seats, and stroller wagons.

That matters when you’re helping another parent shop.

She knows there is a difference between a feature that sounds amazing on paper and one that actually makes life easier once kids, bags, snacks, cars, travel, sibling logistics, and everyday chaos get involved.

With six years in the baby industry, Kyleyn combines that firsthand parent experience with product knowledge to help families narrow down what genuinely makes sense for them.

Outside of work, she loves the beach, hiking whenever she can fit it in, audiobooks, movies, and cheering on her kids in whatever they love to do.

Emily, Customer Service | Content Writer | CBWS Babywearing Certified | Mom | North Carolina at Bambi Baby

Emily

Customer Service | Content Writer | CBWS Babywearing Certified | Mom | North Carolina

If you’ve connected with Bambi Baby through customer service, Instagram, TikTok, or one of our Expert Advice articles, there’s a good chance you’ve already met Emily.

Based in North Carolina, Emily helps families through phone, email, chat, and social media, bringing warmth and patience to everything from a quick product question to a much bigger “I have no idea which one I need” baby-gear decision.

She also brings 20 years of baby-industry experience to Bambi Baby’s content team, helping create educational articles built around practical guidance and the questions parents are actually asking.

Emily is CBWS Babywearing Certified and a proud boy mom, which gives her one more layer of real-world experience when helping families navigate baby carriers, gear, and everyday parent life.

When she isn’t helping Bambi Baby families, Emily can usually be found reading, planning her next clever IKEA hack, or keeping a very close eye on her sourdough starter.

Xochil, Customer Service | Baby Gear Expert | Mom | Florida at Bambi Baby

Xochil

Customer Service | Baby Gear Expert | Mom | Florida

Xochil’s baby-gear career began in 2012 at Nordstrom, where she worked with baby gear and infant clothing.

More than a decade later, customer service is still the part she loves most.

Born and raised in Miami, Xochil brings years of customer-service experience and a mom’s perspective to every family she helps at Bambi Baby.

For her, the goal isn’t simply to complete a sale.

It’s making sure a family understands what they’re buying and feels confident that it actually fits the way they live.

She knows how much those real-life details matter from experience. Xochil is mom to a young son, and their compact Nia stroller has become a family favorite for theme-park adventures—a pretty good reminder that sometimes the feature that matters most isn’t the one that catches your eye on a product page. It’s the one you appreciate after a very long day out with your child.

Outside of work, she loves reading, gardening, and growing dahlias—a new labor of love she recently took on.

Alyssa, Customer Service | Mom | New York at Bambi Baby

Alyssa

Customer Service | Mom | New York

Alyssa’s interest in baby gear started exactly the way it does for a lot of parents: with a positive pregnancy test and a whole lot of research.

While preparing for her first son, she dove into baby gear and parenting information because she wanted to understand the choices in front of her and feel prepared for what was coming.

One question led to another. One product comparison led to five more.

And somewhere along the way, all that research became a genuine interest in helping other parents make sense of those same overwhelming decisions.

After years in the corporate world, Alyssa realized the conversations she cared about most were the ones around parenting, preparation, and helping families find products that genuinely work for their lives.

Today, she brings that curiosity and research-driven approach to Bambi Baby customer service, helping families feel more informed, prepared, and excited about what comes next.

And if your question has absolutely nothing to do with baby gear?

Alyssa’s friends call her TMZ for a reason.

She is an unapologetic reality-TV fan and a very enthusiastic keeper of pop-culture knowledge.

More Than Job Titles

If you’ve read through the titles on this page, you’ve probably noticed something: there’s a lot of overlap.

That’s intentional.

Baby gear doesn’t fit neatly into departments, and neither does the work we do. Buying affects merchandising. Product expertise strengthens content. Technology supports nearly everything. Customer experience gives all of it a reality check.

At Bambi Baby, knowledge gets shared rather than handed off.

50 Years Later, Still Personal

Bambi Baby has come a long way from one small store in West New York.

Today there are more stores, more products, more technology, more ways to shop—and a much bigger team.

But growth only matters if we hold onto what made the business work in the first place: knowing the products, paying attention to the details, and caring about the experience someone has when they trust us to help with an important purchase.

After 50 years, Bambi Baby is still a family business.

The family is simply bigger now.

It includes the people you met on this page—the ones who bring their experience, expertise, personality, and care to work every day.

We’re glad you found us.
