What Strollers Are Compatible with the UPPAbaby Mesa V3?

While the UPPAbaby Mesa V3 isn’t the most universally compatible infant car seat on the market, it’s designed to work seamlessly within the UPPAbaby ecosystem. It clicks directly onto the Vista and Cruz strollers without any adapters, making for a hassle-free travel system right out of the box. It can also be used with the Minu (and Minu Duo) and Ridge strollers when paired with separately sold adapters.

A few select strollers from other brands also offer compatibility with the Mesa V3 when using brand-specific adapters:

• Thule Urban Glide 1 & 2 (Single and Double) – (discontinued) with Thule’s universal adapter
• Thule Urban Glide 3 (Single, 4-Wheel, and Double) – with Thule's universal adapter

If you already own UPPAbaby gear or plan to build a full system within the brand, the Mesa V3 will integrate beautifully. However, families using strollers outside the UPPAbaby lineup may want to double-check adapter availability before committing.

The UPPAbaby Mesa V3 maintains the same dimensions and weight as the previous model, the Mesa V2.

One notable change is the updated weight limit: the Mesa V3 accommodates a child up to 30 pounds or 32 inches, whichever comes first. In comparison, the Mesa V2 supported up to 35 pounds or 32 inches. While this may seem like a downgrade, it’s worth noting that most babies outgrow their infant car seat by height or torso length well before reaching the weight limit. As a reminder, your child’s head must remain at least 1 inch below the top of the seat shell for safe use.

What Comes Next After the Mesa V3? 

Once your child has outgrown the UPPAbaby Mesa V3—whether by height, weight, or when their torso length places their head less than one inch from the top of the seat—it’s time to move on to the next stage: a convertible car seat. Remember, once your child reaches any of the listed limits, the seat is no longer safe to use. Most of the time this happens around your child's first birthday.

Most families transition to a convertible car seat, which can be used in both rear-facing and forward-facing modes. These seats are not designed to click onto strollers—by this stage, your little one is ready to enjoy the regular stroller seat and all the views that come with it!

Convertible seats are larger and more stationary, intended to remain installed in your vehicle rather than being moved around. Because they’re heavier and more complex to install and adjust, many parents now opt for rotating convertible car seats, which swivel toward the car door to make buckling in your child quicker and easier—saving your back in the process!
