We love the Cybex Callisto G 360 for its top-notch safety features, 360° rotation, simple installation, and premium fabrics. Plus, it grows with your child from infancy through the booster stage, transitioning from rear-facing to forward-facing to booster mode.

The new Callisto Select keeps all of these standout features and looks nearly identical, but with a few key differences. The Select does not include the added comfort upgrades found on the Callisto G 360, such as breathable fabrics, a sun canopy, magnetic buckle holders, or the flip-forward buckle pad. The most notable difference is the absence of SensorSafe technology, a smart chest clip that connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. SensorSafe provides real-time alerts if your child unbuckles the harness, if the car’s temperature becomes unsafe, if the driver leaves the vehicle while the child is still buckled, or as a reminder not to leave your child in the seat for too long.

If these extra comfort and tech features are not important to you, the Callisto Select offers the same trusted safety and ease of use at a slightly lower cost. The original Callisto G 360 remains the best choice for parents who want the full set of features at only $100 more.

A Great Match If:

• You want to skip the extras you won’t use. If you don’t plan on using the canopy or SensorSafe, the Select gives you the core features you need without paying for extras you won’t use.
• You love the rotating convenience. The seat swivels for easy rear- or forward-facing installation, making buckling your child in and out much simpler and saving your back.
• You want advanced safety features. The Select still includes Cybex’s top-tier safety technology, like side-impact protection and energy-absorbing materials, so your child stays secure on every ride.
• You have a tall child. The Calisto Select accommodates taller kids with extended harness and headrest heights for a comfortable fit.
• You have non-removable headrests. Its design makes installation safe and easy even in vehicles where headrests can’t be removed.

Heads-Up:

The Callisto Select may not be the best choice if you need to fit three car seats across a row. At 19.5″ wide, it’s too bulky for most three-across setups, and even if you manage to squeeze it in, you won’t be able to use the swivel feature.

It can work in compact cars, but there are some tradeoffs. Rear-facing installation is fine, even in a smaller sedan, but once you switch to booster mode the headrest can hit the ceiling or door frame, limiting adjustability and comfort.
