The kit is fashioned in Arctic Gray to match your crib and comes with two matching side rails, five support slats and the hardware required to get the job done. Additional support is necessary to use with the included slats in your conversion kit. You can use any of the following options: box spring (7"), low profile box spring (4") or bunkie board (2"). The mattress cannot go directly on the slats.

Perfect for the last stage of this set
I would recommend a bunkie board rather a standard box spring depending on age. My guy is 3 and skip the twin and went for the full.

Beautiful furniture!
We wanted to get a solid crib set that could convert and last for our child as they grow into adulthood. This set is gorgeous! Soft close drawers high quality and the color is gorgeous; gray with subtle streaks of browns and to give it dimension. It's super heavy duty and the dresser and armoire come fully assembled so you need some muscle to get it moved upstairs. It's packed really well too so it took a few hours to cut away all the cardboard and foam (and then clean it all up) but I'm glad they had it so protected during shipping. Shipping is not quick either. It was probably two weeks from order date before we got a shipping notification and then another few weeks for delivery. Then the delivery company was really late but we finally got it and it was worth the wait. Just don't procrastinate ordering before baby comes.

Good Product/Rough customer service
Originally sent the wrong parts for our bed. Took two phone calls to get it straightened out. First call we were told we would be called back as soon as they had an answer. We had to call again ourselves after we realized we weren't being called back. Product itself is everything we expected.
