SICT and True SIP Technology: Side Impact Protection (SIP) is popping up in car seats everywhere, and while testing standards don’t exist for SIP yet, we love the extra reassurance it provides, since side-impact collisions are less common but more dangerous than front or rear collisions.

The Energy-Absorbing Versa Tether uses integrated stage-released stitching to reduce crash forces that reach your child. HUGS chest pads provide resistance to forward movement. And the compatible SecureGuard system (sold separately) works with the vehicle belt in booster mode to prevent your child from sliding under the lap-belt, preventing abdominal injury.

A safer, easier harness: The tangle-free five-point car seat harness on the Pinnacle 90 car seat and booster distributes crash forces to the strongest part of a child’s body, and with 10 harness height positions, up to 20.5”, and two buckle positions, it’s easy to get the right fit. The Pinnacle car seat also has a nice high weight limit in 5-point-harness mode, so you can keep your child in the safer harness for longer – up to 90 pounds!
