- Happy Customer Review by Emily
I was a little nervous selecting a convertible crib online, without seeing it in a store again. I did this for my first child and was extremely disappointed. The crib was fine and looked just like the picture on JC Penny's website, but when we converted it to a bed we could really appreciate the poor construction. I decided we could live with it, but then one day my husband laid in bed to snuggle with our daughter and the bed broke! The rails cracked and busted off the footboard. In addition to the bed issue we also had to return a dresser that we found damaged when we opened the box.
As frustrating as it is, I know these things happen so I tried a different company for my son's crib. I selected the Copa Crib in Cider and am SO happy I did. The quality is much, much better and it was very easy to assemble. My friend and I put it together while my husband was taking a nap with the kids. Like any other wood that is not solid hardwood it does dent and scratch easier than I would like. Also, the color was much darker than shown in the picture online- it looks more like the chocolate color on some of Westwoods other cribs. I took apart the crib and converted it to the full size bed on my own and was again impressed with the design comapred to the first one I purchased for my daughter.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this crib. It has a simple look and is sturdy and well designed.
